Alberta and British Columbia City Guide

Mount Robson in British Columbia, at 12,972 feet (3,954 meters) is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. The Continental Divide is located in the Rocky Mountains and designates the line at which waters flow either to the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans. Elk, mule deer, moose, bighorn sheep, black bears, coyotes, cougars, eagles, hawks and smaller animals inhabit the Rocky Mountains. Every year the scenic areas and recreational opportunities of the Rocky Mountains draw millions of tourists. Canadian National Parks in the mountain range are: Banff National Park, Jasper National Park, Kootenay National Park, Waterton Lakes National Park and Yoho National Park.

Artic and Praire City Guide

Within the Interior Plains are the north-eastern corner of British Columbia, most of Alberta, the southern half of Saskatchewan, and the southern third of Manitoba. This region contains the most fertile soil in Canada. Aproximately 17 per cent of the Canadian population lives in the Prairie provinces of Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Yukon Territory, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut are sparsely inhabited with about 0.3 per cent of the total Canadian population.

The Atlantic provinces or simply the Maritimes, is a region of eastern Canada on the Atlantic coast, consisting of the four provinces of Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
